I've been reflecting on time since we had to set our clocks back last night. Every year on this morning, I wake up an hour "earlier" because the clock says it is, and I hope that this will be the kick start that I need to start getting up earlier. And within a week, it's always back to normal...I'm just not a morning person. I've talked this over with a few friends of mine, and the ones that are like me (non-morning people) seem to always feel guilty about it. Like somehow it automatically makes us lazy. Even though, we are typically up long into the night working on projects, house cleaning, etc., because that's when we work best. Why don't we judge those morning people for going to bed early? LOL Does that make them lazy? What's the difference?

I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago to an elderly friend of mine. She is 90 years old, and she is not a morning person. She said she never has been--and even now at 90, she has been known to be late for church because she didn't wake up in time. Service starts at 10:30am. After talking about it with her, I mentioned that I was really disappointed in what she was telling me, because it means that my hope of someday growing out of it is just a fantasy. She laughed.
My kids are morning people, though. Well, two out of the three. I have one late morning sleeper in the bunch, but he also goes to bed early, so maybe he is neither. Is there such a thing as a mid-day person? Either way, I'm glad they know how to make their own breakfast so I can sleep a little longer, now. LOL
Are you a morning person? If so, how do you do it??

I'm a morning person! I can hardly sleep past 7....
How do you do it, though? Does it come naturally to you? I could go to bed at 9pm and still struggle to get up before 8! haha
